Literacy
Our new literacy unit is all about realistic fiction. We are becoming character experts! Over the next few weeks we will be using the series Henry and Mudge by: Cynthia Rylant to dig deep into who Henry really is - to include his feelings, his inside characteristics, his outside characteristics and how he changes. While we study the characters in our books we will also be studying ourselves. What are your inside characteristics?
Math
In Math 1JT has been working on shapes and fractions. They practiced fractions using play dough. The students molded shapes and cut them into 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4. Below is a video about fractions you can watch with your child for review.
