We will have our writing celebration on Thursday at 2:50 in the classroom Students will share their notebooks of original pieces, as well as, recite an original poem. Our Fourth Grade buddies will also attend!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Visiting Author Nicola Davies!
Students immersed themselves in all things Nicola Davies last week. They conducted an author study which included comparing texts, reading poetry, learning about Nicola's craft in detail, and other fun activities. Today they were able to meet her and have special time with her in the library.

Science experiment
Students will make observations over 48 hours to continue learning about the Water Cycle. Today they made predictions about what would happen to water and soil inside a plastic bag.

Writer's Workshop
Today in Writer's Workshop students used a special item from the Poetry Museum to practice using adjectives. Students are learning that poets describe items in vivid details. Mr. Hoffman taught the students how to use Kidspiration to take photos of the items and create a web of awesome adjectives!
